What a PUF sandwich panel is
A PUF panel is two pre-painted steel skins bonded to a rigid polyurethane foam core. The foam is the insulator: it interrupts the heat path that plain metal walls conduct straight through, which is why a sheet-walled cabin bakes while a PUF cabin merely warms.
The same panel construction insulates the roof, where the sun load is strongest — an insulated wall under a bare metal roof wastes most of its advantage.
Choosing insulation thickness
Thicker cores insulate more. Standard cabin walls use a mid-range core that balances cost and comfort for offices; cold-region or air-conditioned-all-day uses justify stepping up. The right answer follows the use: an occasionally-used store tolerates less, a clinic or classroom deserves more.
Cooling an insulated cabin
Insulation shrinks the AC you need: a compact split unit holds a PUF cabin at set temperature where a sheet cabin would run a larger unit continuously. Provisioning matters more than the machine — order the cabin with the AC point, support bracket and conduit in place, and the unit installs in minutes at site.
